Structure
The Department of Local Authorities (DLA) is led by a Director overseeing regional administration, finance, and planning. Key roles include Secretaries General, a Decentralization Manager, regional finance officers, and development planners. Provincial Planners, Accountants, and 71 Area Administrators support local governance, alongside essential office and logistical staff.
Governance Structure
The governing structure consists of three tiers: the National Government, which formulates national policies the Provincial Government, which manages regional issues and implements national policies locally and the middle tier of governance; and the Area Council, the closest tier to communities, focused on local governance and administer Government and non Government Services at the Community level . This multi-tiered approach ensures responsive and accountable governance at all levels.
